Mushroom Love

My mushroom art has become some of my most popular works over the past few years. I began creating mushroom inspired pieces because of my love for fairytales, I have found that in many of the stories I have read and had read to me over the years there is a presence of mushrooms. Especially in Scandinavian books and tales you will find many illustrations of mushrooms, as well as out in the wild. Whenever I visit my family in Sweden and Finland in the summer I get a chance to see the mushrooms up close and they really do look magical. The first mushrooms I made out of ceramics were to create a fairy circle around my sculpture of my fairy Serafina, who I have named my art business in honour of. This mushroom circle was the start of many more to come as they continued to make people smile, I have loved the opportunity to bring some of the fairytale magic into people homes.
